John Farrell

John Farrell Jr. is a Los Angeles based photographer known mostly for technical food and product photography.  He is comfortable creating natural images that are accessible and realistic for the viewer and creating looks that embolden a brand.  Since he was a young man he was always fascinated with the magic of photography and how it can bring people together.  Constantly yearning to better his passion he enrolled in 2008 to Santa Monica College with a promise to master lighting and graduate beyond calling himself only a “natural light photographer”.  After he completed school, his internship with David LaChappelle soon took him into Hollywood. John found himself working with many photographers and frequenting all of the regular Hollywood studios.  Since 2009 he worked with some of the most well know photographers of our time including Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger, Peggy Sirota, and Mark Laita.

LHC character evaluation: John is the NICEST guy, his work ethic is so precise and detailed.  With his training and experience, he moves so fast and often captures a deliverable straight out of camera.  He is amazing in the studio as well on location. He is a perfectionist and he doesn’t always give himself enough credit! We love working with him, he’s always on point.
