Experience in commercial productions since 1999. Originally from Portland, Oregon Shasta was studying Theater Arts at Portland State University when she was offered a job as a camera Production Assistant on a GMC commercial where she quickly became interested in cinematography. Upon moving to LA shortly thereafter she began work on a Mercedes Benz commercial directed by Michael Bay. She was quickly adopted by the "camera department" and worked her way up the chain diligently.

Experience in shooting around the world and now based out of Los Angeles, Shasta has gained experience from director’s such as HENRIK HANSEN, MICHAEL MANN, JOE PYTKA, TOBY TREMLETT, DEAN FREEMAN, SHAWN KIM, and BRETT SIMON. She finds her greatest inspiration and influence comes from Joe Pytka — He is her mentor for whom she has worked with for almost a decade  shooting a variety of commercials, documentaries, music videos, and short films for the likes of Henrik Hanson, Shawn Kim, Dean Freeman, Brett Simon, Toby Tremlett and more.
